Внутри прекрасного города Брага есть сад, в котором находится замечательный памятник: фонтан римского периода, посвященный местному до-римскому богу. На гранитной скале, из которой бьет фонтан, было вылеплено изображение бородатого человека, держащего что-то, что, как предполагается, является корзиной с фруктами и рядом с ней, своего рода каркас, окружающий бюст мужчины.

Есть также две надписи: одна — Celicus Fronto Arcobrigensis Ambimogidus Fecit (что означает что-то вроде Celico Fronto из города Аркобрига Амбимогида).

И Arcobriga, и Ambimogidus являются названиями кельтской этимологии, что также относится к имени бога, которому посвящен фонтан (имя указано другой надписью: Tongoenabiagoí. В древнем кельтском языке это означает нечто вроде бога фонтана клятв.

Итак, у нас есть священный источник, где люди, безусловно, давали обещания божеству.

Idol Fountain

Inside the beautiful city of Braga there is a garden in which there is a remarkable monument: a fountain of the Roman period, dedicated to the local pre-Roman god. On a granite rock, from which a fountain beats, an image of a bearded man holding something that is supposed to be a fruit basket and next to it, a kind of frame surrounding the bust of a man, was fashioned.

There are also two inscriptions: one — Celicus Fronto Arcobrigensis Ambimogidus Fecit (which means something like Celico Fronto from the city of Arcobrigg Ambimogida).

Both Arcobriga and Ambimogidus are the names of the Celtic etymology, which also refers to the name of the god to whom the fountain is dedicated (the name is indicated by another inscription: Tongoenabiagoí. In ancient Celtic language, this means something like the god of the fountains of oaths.

So, we have a sacred source where people, of course, made promises to the deity.
